LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 3 6 TB

Operation also worthwhile on older Computers
Photo: above, two LaCie P'9220s with 1 and 2 TB next to each other, below, the much larger P'9230 with 5 TB is barely visible. My now discarded notebook Sony VAIO Z12X9E/X has no USB 3.0, so I couldn't use the maximum speed of these hard drives, but they were still useful. It's the same with the LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 3: if you want to upgrade/replace your computer later, but need more space now, buy this desktop hard drive now anyway.
Ideal Backup Medium for Photos and Videos
I bought this desktop hard disk with six terabytes of storage capacity because the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Drive P´9220 2 TB would soon be full and its manufacturer's warranty has already expired like my other hard disks (manufacturer's warranty corresponds to the expected minimum lifetime).
My old notebook was the bottleneck for copying, but for backups, photos and videos, USB 2.0 was sufficient.
The newly purchased MacBook Air i5 1.1/16/1 TB (2020) copies even large video files in a fraction of a second. USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 thank you!
